Function

As part of the Merchant team, you identify business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability, satisfaction and realize growth within the merchant department.

Your focus is on optimising commercial and services processes, monitoring performance and merchant market evolutions. You identify new service opportunities for our stakeholders.

You oversee milestones of new projects and services and make forecasts and projections. You drive monthly/ad hoc reporting of kpi’s.

You report to the market manager and work closely with the marketing, customer experience, merchant service teams and the business developers.

Your main responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of your stakeholders to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet them
  • Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, merchants, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching the Belgian market
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates, reduce risk and waste of resources
  • Create and defend business cases for new opportunities.
  • Think strategically, see the bigger picture and set aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business.
  • Work strategically, carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes, work structured, organized, measure results and milestone progress.
  • Design the market and service strategy together with marketing, customer experience, merchant service teams and executives.
  • Ensure effective governance and reporting of the market and service improvement initiatives, projects or services and the business as usual via business reviews.
  • Collaborate with the training team. Ensure staff are on board throughout the organization, and understand the need for change and what is required of them. Set the bar for documentation and centralisation.
  • Follow trends and changes in the business world and share learnings.

Profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent through experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional background in marketing- or sales performance within a B2B services context.
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, business innovation driven and stakeholder centric mindset
  • Strong ability to analyse, structure and summarize information and convert to actionable deliverables
  • Experience in building business cases
  • Proven track record of driving performance and satisfaction by coordinating and delivering process improvements and enablement programs in a KPI focused context.
  • Solid communications skills with impact, easily connecting and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, a team player

Language

You have a fluent level of spoken and written Dutch, French and English
