Function

The Testing Officer works in the Testing Department. Currently it has a staff of 20.

To contribute to the provision of the development strategy of Pluxee products, ensuring that the quality and integrity of the products supplied are maintained across all versions.

This is done by adding and updating manual or automated functional tests using tools such as SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, Azure Devops, Jira etc…

The Testing Officer reports to the Test Coordinator and the Test Manager.

Your main responsibilities:

• Writing requirements and creating scenarios for:
• Functional tests
• Non-functional tests
• Carrying out functional and non-functional tests.
• Updating existing tests
• Adding new tests and developing tests
• Drafting the planning documentation for tests based on the specifications of Business needs.
• Examining all test documents and other documents linked to tests.
• Assisting in the implementation of the overall test strategy at Pluxee.
• Ensuring that the quality standards are adhered to when developing products.
• Gathering and creating data for functional and non-functional tests.
• Liaising with developers and analysts during the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Providing estimates for test activities.
• Coaching junior testers, backup for test coordinator

Profile

Essential

• At least 2 years of experience in testing (for example: business testing, business validation)
• An excellent level of spoken and written English and French and/or Dutch (mandatory)
• Good knowledge of the business processes and IT applications
• Strong ability to learn and understand testing concepts and tools
• Knowledge of tests for websites, API, and client/server applications
• Experience working on software projects with deadlines
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (SCRUM/KANBAN) and SAFE
• Good documentation skills and test documentation reviewing skills
• Able to be flexible and handle pressure
• Solution-oriented

Nice to have

• Understanding the process for monitoring incidents and bug-tracking
• Knowledge of testing tools (Soap UI, ReadyAPI, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration techniques
• Scripting with Python or an equivalent language and experience with Selenium
• Ideally, ISTQB certified
